The comedic stylings of Kevin James, Adam Sandler, and even the entire Frat Pack was not enough to prepare for……. whatever this was. Life on the train was already weird enough. Turns out it can, in fact, still get weirder. Melvin was more motivated to find a way around having to do this ‘correctly’ than anything else. Not least of all because there is exactly one (1) Vinzent who seems like he might be remotely interested in just going along with it to get this over with. On this team, anyways. Which is half the problem. Some of these assignments seemed A Little Incorrect. Possibly the train had auto-balanced the teams because Jack and Viper definitely, Asuka and Matsu maybe, seemed far better equipped and more enthusiastic for the task of Stealing.
All that to say it kind of seemed like he was going to have to be proactive for once if they didn’t wanna get stuck here in a forever deadlock. In the vaguely chronological time soup I’m gonna assume he’s already spoken to Vinzent and Moved On. Unfortunately, it seems like there’s only so much they can do being on the same team and all. Which means he’s going to have to reach out to one of the other six before, like, the Jack-Viper combo can get to them and cackle madly while encouraging them to steal everything in sight for fun and just hauling ass out of there. Can’t stop all of them or whatever. Probably. Very probably that was what would happen. It’s almost a wonder the mall isn’t on fire by now. Anyways.
The intersection of ‘people on the other team he’s willing to talk to about figuring something out’ minus ‘not foisting the matter on a kid even if she Did in fact seem super smart’ narrows it down to… well, half of them, actually. But he’d rather not trouble Haruka or Taran with his own floundering idiocy this soon after Everything. R.N.A was a robot(?) and had stated they wanted to be helpful, soooo. Opportunity’s about to break down their door. It can’t be too hard to find them - their edges stick out even more like a store thumb (sore thumb, dammit, stupid mall) in Ball Plart’s world of spheres. Like Minecraft. Which is funny. Because they’re in GameStart.
“That you, R.N.A? He says Arnay like it’s one word two syllables. Also like there’s any possibility he could have mistaken them for someone else.
