A stuffy party was the last place that at least a solid majority of Neko-Neko’s remaining group wanted to be. It was far too loud for Viper’s liking, with the chattering amongst the denizens, and the feeling of having to constantly lie to protect the fact she was a passenger for the sake of the denizens who would do… who knows what if they found out that they weren’t also denizens.
It was stupid, surely they’d realise they’d never seen these people in the time they’d clearly been stuck in this train car? Surely they’d all met each other at least once.
Now she’d calmed down from her initial upset upon coming into this car, she certainly wasn’t enjoying any of this, but she was for once keeping to herself, and trying to avoid attracting attention wherever possible. After some idle chatter with some Denizens that she had forced herself into as a distraction, to keep up appearances, she pushed her way from the main congregation of the room, trying to bide her time before they were forced to sit down to share a dinner with these strange glass people.
Of course, the food was welcome, but… everything else… not at all. When she reaches the edge of the room, she at least finds someone she feels a bit more comfortable around. Melvin.
“Hey, Melvin…” It’s strange. She’s uncharacteristically quiet, forgoing the nickname, but it’sa little hard to tell if that’s for the car’s sake, or just… her. “It’s uh… been a minute, yeah?” There’s concentrated effort in the way she talks, her eyes darting around to see if any of the glass people are eavesdropping, to see how casual she can be. She wants to say something more, but how will she get away with not addressing the elephant in the room?
And yet, when she looks at Melvin, there’s somewhat of a desperation for that companionship that is visible in her gaze through the eyes of her serpent-themed mask.
