Haruka had officially become one of Asuka’s favorite people here, and she’d only genuinely gotten to know her for a few brief minutes. Suddenly, getting Haruka’s constant approval shot up on Asuka’s list of important things.
“You really think it’s smart!?” As soon as the words escape from Asuka, and she realizes how overly eager she sounds, she clams up slightly. Still, the desire to keep talking and hear more is enough that Asuka starts to talk again anyways. “I mean - obviously! Obviously it’s smart. Mhm.”
Still, Asuka is glaring at the tree like it’s personally offended her now. There’s no way she can afford to not climb it now, especially since it was such a good plan! …Except if she failed, it’d… Ugh.
Maybe she can stall? Just get an even better idea of where to look? …Although, if she falls, maybe it’d be fine for sympathy? Yeah! Yeah, that works!
So guess who is seriously going to begin climbing in earnest? Asuka! Let’s hope she doesn’t fail horribly.
