Vinzent was still crying, unsure whenever to want to cling to Abel for comfort, just… To be sure that he’s still here. Or if Vinzent was only going to awkwardly stand around while quite some of his frustrations has been (for once) finally let out. He still restrained himself from yelling or anything like that, because honestly, he knew it was pointless. And his jaw wound was still fresh, so opening his mouth more wasn’t exactly the most stellar idea either.
As his sobs quieted down to sniffles for once, Vinzent was able to hear what Abel said next.
Abel Lazarus “It’s okay.” His voice is quiet. “I’ll be okay.” Probably, at least. Odds are being this messed up in a killing game isn’t a Positive but he’s not pointing that out right now.
“We all got out. No one died.”
So instead, he reached out to hold Abel’s hands. Abel will see that Vinzent has his left wrist wrapped as well, if it was hidden from his sleeve before.
“… Please don’t risk your life ever again.” Even if the odds are lower right now, even if Vinzent is aware that Abel has less chances of survival given the extent of the wounds… Abel’s still here, so Vinzent is doing what he can to make sure Abel will stay alive. Perhaps it may be futile someday, but he doesn’t want to think of that now.
Because… Well, he’s aware that it might be getting worse at some point. But, Vinzent is going to try to not be powerless, to not be petrified anymore. Will that possibly get him more wounded? He’d hope not, but that possibility was real and this time again, it still isn’t going to stop him from trying his best.
“I’ll do what I can… Um… By the way… Would a hug be okay? I don’t wanna hurt you and… If you’re worried about me, erm…”
He rolls his sleeve to show the bandaged wrist, then points at his face.
“They’re the only places I’ve been hurt, so… I’m okay to be held, if you want to. I’m not gonna be in pain. I just… Don’t wanna hold you and hurt you at the same time… Or, if you prefer, we can just… Still hold hands and sit for a while? I dunno. I just want to stay for a while with you.”
He’s still mad at Abel for what the secretary has done, but… Abel and Melvin are some of the few people Vinzent has talked to the most so far and he’s not on bad terms with either so… Vinzent will do anything to not feel lonely. The car still upsets him.
Speaking of this car, after a moment of being in his thoughts, the artist spoke again.
“Hey, um, Abel… Is it strange that I absolutely hate this car, and yet I’m kind of glad it exists at the same time?”
