She doesn’t know. Oh god she doesn’t know. This is so sucks. There’s absolutely no good way to break it to her! Melvin delivers pizza, not bad news, and almost manages to say something way less tactful before Abel thankfully, directly, drops that little bit of information. Let’s be real, he was definitely the best person here to do it out of the three of them. Like I think maybe that’s not up for debate. On all accounts, it could have been worse.
They could have found Fenna dead. They could have all died in a stupid forest fire. They could be stuck in a rut, day in, day out, night in, night out night in night after night after night after night after night but no, at least they still have lives to do nothing with ahead of them. Maybe he’ll learn to be grateful for it, someday.
For now, he doesn’t have to think about it! Yay! If it sucks just ignore it (sparkles emoji.) Helping Fenna up is an easy enough task, as one of the few living people who exists in the overlap between ‘tall enough’ and ‘hasn’t gotten his ass kicked yet.’ Unfortunately this does mean he’s not really paying much attention to The Evidence at the moment. Don’t push yourself? God. What the hell, that was such a stupid thing to say. Fenna obviously knew her limits and was perfectly capable of staying within them. So maybe she indulged a bit during a super stressful time. Who wouldn’t, if they could? He sure would have!
