Abel Lazarus Ramona takes another step closer and it’s clear that if she could she’d be squeezing some part of Viper’s arm hard right now. “You’re so over come with love, aren’t you?” Her voice is fake sweet again. “You love him? That so? Wait until things get tough. He’s so like his beloved Uncle. So like my Father. Things get rough, and then what? He’ll hit you eventually, you know. Threaten you. He’s a killer in waiting. Just waiting for the chance.”
Viper’s red-hot anger turns white, and she grabs a book off of the shelf and hurls it in Ramona’s direction. Of course, it just phases through her, and thunks onto the floor… but it made her feel better. Just… marginally. Her glare is defiant, and perhaps, her anger may just make her seem like she’s more than good enough for the ‘evil’ Ramona pushed onto Abel.
“I don’t give a f-ck.” Viper sneered. “Why should I expect him ta not, with the sh-tty family he’s got?” For the most part, anyway. “Could hit me a hundred times an’ it ain’t gonna change how I feel. Not ’cause I’m some battered damsel, but ‘cause I can see what f-ckin’ damage ya did ta him. An’ he needs goddamn help, not y’all throwin’ ya problems all over him.”
“I almost f-ckin’ died before, I ain’t scared’a it. If it meant savin’ him. I’d f-ckin’ do it.” Viper spins as Ramona walks through her, “Don’t f-ckin’ run away ’cause ya know I’m right!”
Abel Lazarus And Viper screams at her- but it hardly matters. She’s not a threat. She can’t touch her. It changes nothing about Ramona’s desire to hit her with a chair, though. “Go find the brat if you care so much, clearly you’re not so interested in Listening. Or maybe you can find my Father- get a real glimpse at what your little fiancé will grow to be like. Trust me, dear. You deserve a Lot Better.” And she leaves- not at all reasoned with. Not at all gaining any sort of understanding.
“Oh I’m listenin’ alright.” Viper huffs through her nose, like a mad bull she wishes she could charge. “Sure ya’d say we’re good for each other if ya knew what I’d done.” She scoffs, but Ramona starts leaving, and she puffs up. In that animated way that they do in the movies, her hair, shoulders, everything raising as she glared defiantly after her.
“YEAH, THAT’S IT! TURN YA BACK ON WHAT YA DID TA HIM LIKE YA ALWAYS DID!” She yells after Ramona.
Viper absolutely has to find Abel, before Ramona gets to him first. She may not be a runner, nor a track star, but she’s nearly knocking shelves flying as she starts her desperate hunt for Abel. Viper can’t call out to him, because that would just alert the ghosts that she was looking for him, and subsequently would let them know where he was, but she was so desperate to find him.
It takes her way too long for her liking, but she finally finds him. She just hoped he was alone.
